Rotor Dynamics

Rotor Dynamics

Rotor dynamics represents a central key discipline in the design of fast rotating systems such as compressors, turbines, generators, pumps, motors, centrifuges and many other products. Only the exact knowledge of rotordynamic properties enables simultaneously highest power densities and a wide operating range with good-natured operating behavior.

After the training, you will be able to answer questions such as, is the critical speed of the system dangerous, when is resonance critical, which bearing has the best characteristics, to name a few.

Based on Simcenter 3D/Nastran, we will show you how efficiently you can perform your simulations in rotor dynamics. Realistic examples are used in the training.

Course: Rotor Dynamics
Duration: 2 days
Prerequisites: Knowledge in the use of basic structure analysis and FE method
